Let’s talk about the injectable treatments offered at Bella Art Aesthetics.
Botox® & Dysport®
Botox® and Dysport®, also referred to as neurotoxins, are anti-wrinkle injections used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the forehead, between the brows (“11’s”), around the eyes (crow’s feet), and vertical platysma bands in the neck. These treatments can also address certain medical conditions such as migraines, TMJ (off-label use), and severe axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Dosing varies for each individual, with results typically visible within 2–5 days; though it can take up to 2 weeks to see the final outcome. The effects usually last 3–4 months. Anti-wrinkle injections are the most popular procedure for achieving a youthful, anti-aging appearance with zero downtime.
Dermal Fillers
Injectable dermal fillers are gel-like substances made of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring compound in the body that retains moisture and adds volume. As we age, we lose facial fat pads and bone structure, which can contribute to sagging and a tired appearance. Dermal fillers help restore lost volume, enhance facial contours, and soften lines for a rejuvenated look. Specific HA fillers are formulated to target different areas of the face, including the cheeks, jawline, chin, and lips. Results are immediate and typically last 9–24 months or longer, depending on the type of filler and treatment area.
Kybella®
Kybella® is an FDA-approved injectable designed to permanently reduce submental fat, commonly known as a “double chin.” It contains deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule that helps the body break down and absorb fat. When injected, Kybella® destroys fat cells in the treated area, improving the definition of the chin and jawline. Visible results typically appear within about 4 weeks. Most individcuals require multiple sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, depending on the amount of fat. Once destroyed, fat cells do not return unless there is significant weight gain. Moderate to severe swelling, tenderness, and bruising are common after treatment, usually lasting 48–72 hours, with mild swelling potentially lasting longer.
